Other FAQ

Q. Did you get the vaccine?

A. Yes, Dr. Neely and her staff received the Moderna vaccine.

Q. Did you have any side effects?

A. Our arms were a little sore for a few days after the injection. But we had no other side-effect.

Q. Do I still need to get the vaccine if I already had COVID-19?

A. Yes. Re-infection is possible. You should wait until after your illness has resolved and after you have met the criteria to discontinue isolation. Because re-infection within 90 days after initial infection is uncommon, you may delay vaccination until the end of that 90-day period if desired.

Q. How quickly does the immunity start working after I have had the vaccine?

A. It usually takes a few weeks to build up immunity after a vaccination.

Q. Can the COVID-19 vaccine make me sick with COVID-19?

A. No. None of the authorized vaccines contain the live virus.

Q. Do I still need to wear a mask after I get vaccinated?

A. YES! While we are still in a pandemic we need to continue to use all available tools to try and stop the pandemic. This includes masks, washing our hands often and practicing social distancing.
